Affectionately also known as “the zoo”, Augrabies Backpackers offers interaction with an array of animals, sure to delight any child or animal lover.
You will find dogs, cats, various breeds of chickens, turkeys, peacocks, fan tail doves, ducks, geese, sheep, goats, a hedgehog (Frikkie) and a tortoise named Wednesday. You will also see or hear fish eagles and other wild birds, monkeys, meerkat, wild mongoose, etc so bring your binoculars and animal or bird indentifying guides!
We also have amazing plant life for flora lovers.
